This rustic carving is made from local yellow pine of the Sierra Madre Occidental. The carving will add a touch of rugged sophistication to any space. Each piece is individually carved using only simple hand tools.



For centuries, due to the ruggedness of the region, the Tarahumara managed to remain fairly well hidden and isolated from the effects of the processes of Christianization. But recently Christian Catholic saints and beliefs have been intermingled with their original religion.
